 In 2005 ANGELARC Surveillance & Investigations was founded to expand beyond the traditional clientele while forging and maintaining traditional client relationships. Surveillance and Investigations are not cheap endeavors; nor should they be treated that way. While performing the traditional tasks of an investigation, We specialize in remote location and hidden/covert surveillances which means we actually can get out of the car and proceed on foot into wooded, mountainous terrain as well as urban areas in any weather condition. We also specialize in planning, coordinating, and executing surveillances for team operations consisting of two to five man teams in urban settings. While many surveillances are conducted by one surveillance operative, two man teams are becoming the standard and this is due to in part because of the public's fear of criminal activity in their neighborhoods and also because the subject's knowledge of surveillance operations have increased over the last 8 years.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
As simple as it looks here, the process can be time consuming, complex, and at times expensive. I don't pretend that we can do everything for dirt cheap like other investigators claim, but we try to be as cost effective as possible. When an agency cuts corners and provides services for basement prices, basement product is what you generally get. I have maintained a basic order of procedure for 14 years as a surveillance intelligence operative and with little adjustments; the process works.
INTAKE OF FILE INFORMATION
All information regarding the subject and focus of the investigation is collected and a case file is created. A standard format is followed and specific questions are asked in order to prepare for the eventual surveillance operation.
VERIFICATION PROCEDURES
All information provided is verified through research and use of public data systems, files information and database systems generally not available to the public. We systematically confirm as much information as possible; again to prepare for the eventual surveillance operation.
DEVELOPMENT OF NEW INFORMATION
Where it is possible, new information is developed such as; a new address or a vehicle that was previously unknown which can help in targeting the right subject. Contact with our client is key in developing any new information and may be necessary to develop new and pertinent information.
SURVEILLANCE PREPARATION (Reconnaissance)
The surveillance agent prepares for the surveillance operation by studying maps, images, file information and then goes to the actual site/area and gets “eyes on” the target location. Detailed preparation is also needed for multiple agent teams so this part of the investigation is key. For multiple agent teams, t his is where the surveillance starts to resemble a military operation.
SURVEILLANCE OPERATION
The surveillance/investigation operation is set into motion and visual, photographic, physical, and videographic evidence will be recorded when observed or applicable. Generally, we reccommend at least two days initially. This is so we can identify and observe any patterns to the activities of the subject of the surveillance. Further surveillance activity is authorized as needed.
POST SURVEILLANCE OPERATIONS AND REPORT PRODUCT
All information collected/recorded from the surveillance is reported and typed in a comprehensive report format. All video and photographic evidence is compiled and included in the report as snapshots and a DVD is created for your review. Original materials are secured. Chain of evidence rules apply.
PRESENTATION OF REPORT AND EVIDENCE
This is what the entire investigation and surveillance can lead to. Testimony and how it is presented in court is vital to every case; your case. Evidence substantiates testimony and our surveillance operatives are experienced in testifying and presenting evidence professionally in Courts of Law, Industrial Commission Hearings, Corporate Board Rooms and anywhere the presentation of an investigtion is neccessary.
